Deliveries from France.

The season is coming soon so the deliveries of the new boats from France started. Skip. Nikos and go Skipper Diana delivered from France a new Gib Sea 41.The marriage of the two companies, Gib Sea and Dufur create an amazing charter boat. The interior is very specious with lot's of air and light. As we had no wind during  most of the trip, we had the opportunity to test very well the Volvo 55 engine. The engine moves the boat very fast, we was making comfortably the speed of 7 kts at 2000 revs. If you run the engine at 2300 revs, the factory recommended cruising speed,  you get the speed of 8 kts, but then it burns 6 lts per hour. The only problem is the noisy propeller shaft, which also gives a very annoying vibration. The trip was good, apart of the very big swell at Bonifacio and at Ionian sea. We made 1000 miles in 142 hours.

Length Overall: 12.45 m
Beam: 3.92 m
Draught: 1.69 m
Engine: Volvo 55 HP
Fuel Tank: 160 l
Water Tank: 570 l
Sail area: 80 mē

New Bavaria 44  arrived in Alimos Marina.

The first delivery of the year 2003 is reality. Skipper Nikos and go Skipper Diana delivered for Kiriacoulis Mediterranean the first bright new Bavaria 44 from Izola Slovenia to Greece.

The delivery took place between the 17th and 25th of February. Two Bavaria 44 were waiting for us to bring them to life, in the freezing cold Izola Marina of Slovenia. Skipper Nikos and go Skipper Diana, Skipper Theodoros and  go Skipper Petros, started the journey at the 17th of February and accomplished the 700 miles trip at the 25th. Weather conditions apart from cold were generally good. During the most of the journey were blowing north, north easterly winds at the speed of 15 to 30 kts. The boats handled well the weather and we manage  average speed of 7.5 kts under sails. The main difficulty of the trip was the freezing temperatures, ( in some cases fall us low us 7 Celsius below 0 zero). Thanks to Dianas excellent cold Weather menu ( delicious hot sups and other spicy secret recipes) we manage to survive.
